'Squeezed Britain', launched at this event, uses the latest large scale survey data to give a snapshot of life for households living on a low to middle income in the UK. This timely and authoritative publication sets out the economic position of this group and paints a picture of what life is like in the current climate of stagnating wages and public spending cuts.

Both Liam Byrne MP and David Laws MP responded to the issues raised and discussed what policy makers can do to ease the challenges faced by this group.
