The complete works: Targeting full employment in modern Britain

The pursuit of full employment is back in fashion, with all the main parties committed to pursuing it.

But what would full employment look like in Britain today, and what are the trade-offs in reaching this goal? Which hard-to reach groups need to be brought into the labour market, and what role can public policy play in ensuring we have the right mix of incentives and support in place to facilitate this?

At an event in Westminster chaired by new RF Executive Chair David Willetts, the Resolution Foundation presented early findings from its major new investigation into full employment. A panel of leading experts  offered their take on the issue, followed by a Q&A.
