What price a living wage?
David Cameron has described the living wage as ‘an idea whose time has come’, yet relatively few workers have secured higher wages as a result of a living wage campaign. This event brought together private and public sector employers, unions, campaigners and researchers to better understand thebenefits, costs and potential trade-offs of implementing a living wage. The Resolution Foundation and IPPR also launched new analysis which reveals for the first time what the potential impact on wage bills of a living wage might be for employers across different industries.
We would like to thank the Trust for London and the TUC for their support of this project.
