The London Evening Standard reports on the London housing Market and the financial pressures faced by low-to-middle income earners, as set out in Squeezed Britain. The paper emphasises that in London a low-middle earner would have to save for 80 years to buy his or her first home and that nationally the average house prices for first-time buyers are currently 7.6 times the average net income for low-to-middle earners.
