(Senior) Economic Analyst x 2

£30,000 – £50,000 pa, depending on experience | London SW1

The Resolution Foundation is an award-winning independent think-tank focused on improving living standards for those on low to middle incomes. Our reputation for analytical work that results in effective policy solutions places us at the forefront of the UK debate on economic and social policy.

The Resolution Foundation is looking for two exceptional candidates to join our research team, in order to help drive the Resolution Foundation’s production of high quality, innovative economic analysis and support our development of associated policy recommendations. The new roles will add to our capacity across a range of areas associated with the living standards of households on low-to-middle incomes. We are particularly interested in candidates with the ability to lead our work on the labour market and/or the UK social security system.

We are looking for one Economic Analyst and one Senior Economic Analyst. In both instances candidates will need exceptional quantitative research skills, good knowledge and understanding of public policy issues and the key datasets relating to living standards in the UK, and the ability to communicate the results of research in a compelling way.  For the senior position we also require thorough knowledge and understanding of a specialist area of policy making in the UK and extensive experience of designing, managing and delivering high-quality projects on time.

The Foundation prides itself on analytical rigour and we strive to achieve standards of excellence in all our work. As part of this, we actively look to develop and grow the skills and reputations of our researchers. This commitment is matched by dedication to our core purpose, working to improve the living standards of those on low to middle incomes. These twin pillars of rigour and purpose underpin everything we do.

We offer a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to join our close-knit team at an exciting time in our development as we build on success and look to further raise our public profile and impact. The Foundation supports flexible working and offers a range of family-friendly policies. We also provide training and development opportunities, including support for formal qualifications when applicable.

The Resolution Foundation welcomes applications from all under-represented communities and groups, and we are actively seeking to improve the diversity of our workforce. In line with a determination to broaden our research programme, we are particularly keen to attract BAME candidates. We welcome applications from candidates from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and can provide financial assistance for interview expenses. We are also happy to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate specific individual requirements. Applicants on secondment will also be considered.

Closing date: 00:00am on 9 July 2019

Interviews are likely to be held in the week commencing 15 July 2019
