Alesha De-Freitas

Alesha is Head of Policy, Research and Advocacy at the Fawcett Society, a gender equality charity.  Prior to joining Fawcett, she worked in the Civil Service for 15 years in economic, regulatory and trade policy, most recently as Deputy Director for Competition Policy. In 2017, Alesha was awarded an MBE for services to the digital single market. She was a school governor in the East End of London for over 10 years and is a champion for inclusive education. Alesha has a BSc in Economics, Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick.
