George joined the Foundation in September 2017. His work focuses on wealth inequality, labour markets, time use and wellbeing.
Torsten is our Chief Executive. He has a background in economic policy, with his current research focuses including inequality, the labour market, tax and beneﬁts, and housing and wealth.
Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Economist
Mike is Chief Economist and the Deputy Chief Executive of the Resolution Foundation, where he oversees all aspects of the Foundation’s research agenda.
Nye joined the Resolution Foundation in October 2018 and conducts research on labour markets and skills.
Adam joined the Resolution Foundation in May 2014, and his writing and analysis focus on tax and welfare, the labour market and fiscal policy.
Senior Research Fellow
David's work focuses on the impact of Universal Credit, tax and benefit policy, demographic change, pay progression and pension provision. He works one day a week at the RF alongside his role at the Health Foundation.
Director of Resources
Jayne joined the Foundation in 2008 and has responsibility for resources and internal operations, including finance, HR and governance.
Laura joined the Resolution Foundation in March 2014. She oversees the organisation’s work in a range of areas including the labour market, taxes, welfare and social mobility. She also specialises in intergenerational issues.
Maja joined the Foundation as a Researcher in July 2019. Her work focuses on intergenerational fairness.
Karl joined the Resolution Foundation in January 2020. He specialises on welfare, but also works on broader labour market and economic growth issues.
Rebecca joined the Resolution Foundation in September 2018.
Research and Policy Analyst
Kathleen joined the Resolution Foundation in 2017, working on post-16 skills and education, including apprenticeships, technical and higher education, and adult skills development.
Director of Communications
Rob joined the Resolution Foundation in September 2014 as Director of Communications. Previously he was Senior Campaigns and Communications Officer at the Trades Union Congress.
Principal Research and Policy Analyst
Lindsay joined the Resolution Foundation in February 2016 as a Senior Research and Policy Analyst. She leads on housing and agency workers.
Gavin is a media commentator on economics and public policy. He established and oversees the Foundation’s pioneering support of innovative ventures that practically improve living standards, as well as covering a wide range of issues spanning economic policy, public services and social mobility.
Sharmina is the Foundation's Resources Manager, working with the Director of Resources.
Jack joined the Resolution Foundation in June 2019. His work focuses on macroeconomics and wealth inequality. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked at the Bank of England.
Louise joined the Resolution Foundation in 2020 and works on Resolution Ventures, the social investment activities of the Foundation, with a focus on worker tech and financial health and resilience.
Charlie joined the Resolution Foundation as a Researcher in February 2019. His work focuses on labour markets.
Cara joined the Resolution Foundation as a Researcher in June 2019. Her work focuses on macroeconomics and housing.
Zoe joined the Resolution Foundation in November 2019. She provides executive assistance to Torsten Bell and David Willetts.
Fahmida Joined the Resolution Foundation as a researcher in September 2017. Her work focuses on intergenerational fairness.
Hannah joined the Resolution Foundation as an Economic Analyst in September 2019, focusing on labour markets. Previously she spent three years in the civil service working on a variety of social and economic policy issues.
James joined the Foundation as Director of Research in October 2018. His work focuses on wealth, debt and housing as well as leading the Foundation’s work on macro policy.
Dan joined the Resolution Foundation from HM Treasury in 2015. He leads RF’s work on the Job Retention Scheme. His other main research areas are housing, household incomes and the changing nature of worker voice and power in the UK.
President of the Advisory Council and Intergenerational Centre
The Rt Hon. Lord David Willetts is the President of the Foundation’s Advisory Council and Intergenerational Centre, and chaired the Foundation’s recent Intergenerational Commission.
Liberty York joined in August 2018, having previously worked in the world of startups and technology. She works across the Foundation’s events, media and publications.
