Danuta is the Chair of Direct Line Insurance Group plc, a member of the board of Burberry and Chair of North Tech Group.   Until last summer she also held NED positions at Aldermore Bank plc and on the Board of the UK Ministry of Defence, stepping down on completion of her terms.   Danuta was also Chair of St Modwen plc which was acquired by Blackstone in August 2021.  She previously held NED roles on the boards of a range of companies including Old Mutual, Page Group, Paddy Power Betfair and Aer Lingus.   Danuta is the former CEO of Telefonica O2 Ireland and executive director of Telefonica Europe.   Her executive career spanned 25 years in the telecommunications sector, holding a variety of senior roles in BT in the UK and Germany as well as in O2. She is a Business Ambassador for Ambitious About Autism and recently joined the Development Board for Employ Autism.
