Housing tenure

The number of outright owners has risen steadily, while the share of mortgagors has dropped substantially since the early 200s. Meanwhile, private renting households now outnumber socially renting households, while the temporary accommodation crisis is worsening almost quarter-on-quarter.

Children in the private rented sector

The share of children living in the most unstable tenure, the private rented sector, rose dramatically in the 2000s, and has flattened since the mid-2010s.
