A humanised revolution? Launch event for Clear Bright Future by Paul Mason

While much of the world feels like it’s going through a period of sweeping political, economic and social change, what it means to be human remains unchanged but not unchallenged.

Does the new world of big data and technological change bring new opportunities to empower citizens? Or will it replace them? How much agency do individuals, firms and the state have in shaping this change? Will the future happen to us or be shaped by us?

At an event at its Westminster offices, Paul Mason discussed these questions, which he explores in his new book Clear Bright Future. He was joined by RF Director Torsten Bell to discuss how these global shifts might shape British politics, economics and society.
