City limits?

Living with, and recovering from, Covid-19

Live interactive webinar.

City economies have been upended by Covid-19, as it changes what we do and where we do it. City regions across the country are having to rethink their strategies for success in the face of these new challenges. Greater Manchester is at the forefront of this debate, having only last year published an Independent Prosperity Review, led by some of Britain’s leading economists.

What are the biggest issues facing Britain’s city regions following the Covid-induced economic crisis? Is it possible to distinguish temporary changes and permanent structural shifts in how people live, work and consume? And how should these challenges be met at a local, city region and national level?

The Resolution Foundation and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority are hosting an interactive webinar, with leading economists from the Independent Prosperity Review and the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, to discuss the challenges facing Greater Manchester, and city regions across the UK. Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.
