Workertech

Using technology to improve Britain’s post-covid labour market for low earners

Technology is changing the world of work – from app-based firms to the roll-out of remote workplaces during the Covid-19 pandemic. The benefits of these new technologies can often pass low-earners by, or add to greater insecurity in their working lives. But new technologies also have the potential to improve workers’ pay, skills and career paths – if that potential can be realised.

To develop and harness that potential, the Resolution Foundation has brought together leading foundations and social investors to launch The Workertech Partnership — the UK’s first-ever worker-focused innovation fund — backed by Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Ufi VocTech Trust, Friends Provident Foundation, Accenture, and Trust for London.

To mark the launch of the Workertech Partnership we’ll be speaking to leading experts from the US and UK on how worker-focused innovation can improve workers’ lives and hear from young social entrepreneurs who are already making waves in this exciting new area of the labour market.

Viewers will be able to submit questions to the panel before and during the event.
