The economic challenges facing the new Government


The new Government has talked a lot about its challenging economic inheritance. But as summer turns to autumn, and we approach the first Budget of the new Parliament, the Government will need to start solving the economic challenges facing Britain. Whether it’s insecurity at work, tax levels hitting record highs, an insufficient housing stock, or stagnant economic growth and living standards, there are many problems to address.

Over the next six weeks, the Resolution Foundation will publish five major reports on the economic challenges of work, tax, housing, growth and the public finances. Alongside each report will be a launch event featuring leading experts to discuss the key questions on each topic.
