Ventures Impact & Learning Report 2024 16 June 2025 Nicholas Andreou Louise Marston Aish Moothan Over the past four years, the Workertech Partnership has backed ambitious founders building solutions to improve pay, power, progression and wellbeing for people in low-paid and insecure work. We’ve made 16 investments supporting over 350,000 workers to date, and today, we’re publishing our 2024 Impact Report. It reflects on what we’ve achieved, what we’ve learned, and where we’re headed over the next five years. From improving job transparency through Breakroom to expanding opportunities for tradeswomen via TaskHer, our portfolio reflects the possibility of successful worker-friendly business models, responsible innovation that does not compromise agency or autonomy as well as proving the case for diversity and lived experience being represented among startup founders. The report showcases how our ventures are addressing systemic challenges from persistent low pay and skills gaps to weak workers’ voices and growing precarity. WorkerTech as a sector is maturing, and so is its evidence base. Our approach combines insights from the Resolution Foundation’s research teams with the learnings from our ventures as well as our partners, co-investors and friends within the sector. Both the policy and investment landscape are constantly changing, and the report outlines the key trends we think will shape the future of work; with the hope that it provides useful insights for all those working to improve the lives of low-paid workers.
